Short guides for the first things every institute does, how to install MizEdu on phones and computers, and how to reach a person when you need one.
Six steps to your first admission
Create your institute
- Click “Start free” and sign up with email, Google or a WhatsApp code.
- Enter your institute name, city and phone.
- Your first branch, academic session, message templates and workflows are created for you.
Add courses, batches and fee plans
- Go to Courses & Batches → Add course; choose branches and modes.
- Add batches with capacity and timing.
- Create a fee plan with instalments and approve it — counsellors can only quote approved plans.
Bring in your leads
- Leads → Import → upload your CSV and map the columns.
- Fix any rows the report flags; valid rows import straight away.
- Integrations → Website forms gives you an enquiry form and endpoint for your site.
Invite your team
- Settings → Users → Invite.
- Pick the role and the branches each person can access.
- They receive an email invitation to set their password.
Connect WhatsApp
- Integrations → WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Enter your WhatsApp Business account details or connect through an approved provider.
- Sync your templates; once approved by Meta they can be used in the inbox and workflows.
Collect fees online
- Integrations → Payment gateway (Razorpay).
- Add your Razorpay keys and webhook secret (stored on the server, never shown again).
- Share payment links from a lead or application; receipts go out on verified payment.
MizEdu on your phone and desktop
MizEdu is an installable web app (PWA). No app store needed — it opens full-screen and keeps itself up to date.
Android
- Open MizEdu in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap the ⋮ menu.
- Tap Install app (or “Add to Home screen”) and confirm.
iPhone & iPad
- Open MizEdu in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Windows & macOS
- Open MizEdu in Chrome or Edge.
- Click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
- Click Install. MizEdu opens in its own window and can be pinned to the taskbar or Dock.
Common questions
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen choose “Forgot password” and enter your email. You will receive a reset link. You can also sign in with a one-time code sent to your WhatsApp number.
A counsellor can’t see a lead.
Counsellors see only leads assigned to them, and branch staff only the branches they have access to. A manager can reassign the lead, or an owner can change the person’s branch access in Settings → Users.
Why didn’t a WhatsApp message send?
Open the message in the inbox to see the reason. Common causes: WhatsApp isn’t connected yet, the student opted out, the 24-hour reply window has closed and no approved template was used, or the template is still awaiting Meta’s approval.
A student says they paid but the fee shows Pending.
MizEdu marks a fee paid only when Razorpay confirms it. The claim appears in Payments → Reconciliation, where finance can match it to the gateway or record an offline payment with its reference.
How do I export our data?
Owners and managers with export permission can export leads from the Leads screen. Every export is recorded in the audit log. For a complete export of your institute, write to support.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Go to Plan & Billing. Upgrades to Pro apply immediately; cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the paid period, after which the institute continues on the Free plan. The Free plan needs no card, so there is nothing to cancel if you only use Free.
Can I try things without affecting real students?
